Doctors for Doctors

Doctors often put their own health behind those of their patients. It is difficult to find time for the preventive health checks we recommend others should have. Doctors may also feel uncomfortable seeing a colleague about their own health.

West Vic Division contracts external GPs to provide clinical services to doctors and their families three times a year (2 clinics at Horsham and 1 clinic at Maryborough).

The GPs contracted to provide ‘Doctor for Doctors Health Clinics’ have undergone training with the Victorian Doctors’ Health Program in the art of being a doctor for doctors.

All records and consults are treated professionally and respectfully, and any requested investigations or referrals are followed up.
