Meet the Team

Practice Support Officer: Melanie Tippet is new to the practice support team, having commenced work at the Division in October 2008. She has been a Registered Division 1 Nurse since 2002 after completion of a Bachelor of Nursing at Australian Catholic University (Aquinas), and is also a Registered Midwife after completing a post graduate diploma in midwifery at the University of Ballarat. In addition, Melanie has studied at Family Planning Victoria to become a Sexual & Reproductive Health Nurse/Pap Smear provider in 2006, and also through La Trobe University to become a Nurse Immunisation Provider. Melanie has six years experience working as a Division 1 nurse/midwife in public and private hospitals in Horsham and Geelong, and also has two years experience working as a Practice Nurse in Horsham, specialising in women’s health, immunisation and chronic disease management.

Chronic Disease Project Officer: Breeanne Fratin joined the practice support team in February 2007 when she moved from Melbourne to her home town of Ararat. She completed her Bachelor of Nursing at the University of Ballarat and has over five years experience in a range of nursing specialties, including the Mercy Hospital for Women caring in gynecology, oncology and obstetric patients working in the high dependency unit, operating suite, day surgery, well women’s clinic, colposcopy clinic and chemotherapy unit. Bree has continued her study while working with the Division, completing the Nurse Immuniser Program, health promotion short course; certificate IV in workplace and business coaching, BLS and ALS Training and Assessment, high dependency nursing course and assessor in BLS and epidural care and maintenance to her list of many attributes.
