GP Recruitment Kit

This resource has been created to guide practices through the stages and processes of recruitment. This document provides information and tools to assist the local recruitment team to recruit and retain general practitioners in our rural communities.

The information provided has been developed with IMGs who have made a successful transition to working in Australia. We have also applied lessons from unsuccessful or difficult recruitment experiences. As an organisation committed to quality, our aim is to ensure that we can improve on our recruitment and retention activity.

Clinical Risk Management Transfer Manual

This manual was created to assist Divisions and small rural hospitals to participate in the state-wide strategy of clinical risk management. It contains generic processes and planning strategies.

Falls Prevention

Falls Prevention was a project the Division conducted from March 2007 to May 2008 funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing (DoHA), Injury Prevention section. The Division sourced and created a variety of resources for GPs covering a range of falls issues such as MBS items, fact sheets detailing best approaches to discussing falls with patients and assessment tools.
