Donald Family Clinic GP Positions available

There is opportunity available for a suitable GP to join husband and wife team Dr Oleg Rachnisky and Dr Maria Rachinskaya in a highly successful medical practice.

THE PRACTICE:

The Donald Family Clinic is a well appointed, brightly lit rural medical clinic located next to the East Wimmera Health Service (hospital). This fully furnished computerised practice operates on Medical Director software. Three permanent staff are on hand to offer support. Donald Family Clinic is an AGPAL accredited practice. The new GP will be provided with a spacious well lit consulting room with air conditioning and heating which includes a curtained examination area and basin. Medical supplies and equipment in the room are restocked by reception staff twice a day. Services available to GPs on site include: · On sight blood collection. Analysis is conducted at Ballarat · Ambulance Service · A Practice Nurse is on site four mornings a week to provide blood collection, GP assistance, health assessments, prepping patients and assistance with minor surgery. · Virtual Reality Hypnosis machine with great results in pain management and reducing stress. CLINIC HOURS ARE:

- Monday to Friday - 8:00am to 6pm
- Saturday - 9:00am to midday

After hours and weekend cover is on a roster system with a nearby township. An additional benefit is that after-hours calls are diverted to the West Vic Division of General Practice - After Hours Triage Service five days a week to enable calls to be screened. At all times, a doctor is available for after hours emergencies

While the Donald Family Clinic experiences some of the issues of a small rural practice – (after hours on call roster and restricted services), Donald has the support and strong relationship with the hospital, after hours support through a West Vic Division initiative and agreements in place with nearby St Arnaud for after hours care.

A GP in Donald will be on call during the week on alternate nights and every third weekend. Donald and St Arnaud share weekend rosters to reduce the duty nights for their doctors. The West Vic Division operates to support the community and General Practices in the region, and carries this role out effectively with a team of professional, friendly staff.

Doctors from overseas interested in this position are advised that West Vic Division of General Practice can assist them with the paper trail and has a great track record of assisting doctors from overseas into rural Australian general practice on a temporary and permanent basis, having completed over 30 permanent residant visas for doctors within the Division.
