DUNMUNKLE HEALTH SERVICES CONSISTS OF 3 CAMPUSES

Applications are invited from legally qualified medical practitioners registered to practice in Victoria or are eligible for registration with the Medical Practitioners Board of Victoria. An opportunity exists to join an established 3 person practice.

Dunmunkle Health Services consists of a Community Health Centre located at Minyip, a 25 bed Nursing Home / Hospital at Rupanyup and a Medical Centre at Murtoa. Access to Wimmera Base Hospital is available offering a range of visiting specialists. Dunmunkle Health Services is situated in the heart of the Wimmera wheat belt in central western Victoria. THE PRACTICE:

The position will be based in Rupanyup with possible sessions in Minyip and Murtoa. Rupanyup has a well established practice owned by the Dunmunkle health service, the practice is able to provide staff with years of experience in office administration and has a experience practice nurse on staff. The practice is an accredited, and fully computerised using Medical Director software program. An attractive salary package is available which includes base salary, a fully maintained motor vehicle, residence, and well equipped surgery with receptionist.

CLINIC HOURS ARE:

8:30am to 5pm - Monday to Friday After hours and weekend cover is on a roster system. An additional benefit is that after-hours calls are diverted to the West Vic Division of General Practice - After Hours Triage Service five days a week to enable calls to be screened.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF APPOINTMENT

Salaried position 5 weeks annual leave, 10 days study leave, cumulative sick leave. Consulting sessions are conducted in the mornings and afternoons. Visiting rights to hospital and Nursing Home.

OVERSEAS TRAINED DOCTORS

Doctors from overseas interested in this position are advised that West Vic Division of General Practice can assist them with the paper trail and has a great track record of assisting doctors from overseas into rural Australian general practice on a temporary and permanent basis, having completed over 30 permanent residency approvals.

Support is available through the West Vic Division of General Practice for doctors working in the Division who wish to progress towards their Fellowship with the RACGP.

West Vic Division of General Practice works in conjunction with RWAV (Rural Workforce Agency Victoria) to support our practices with workforce support.
